Program: PRC English summer camp
Coach: Amna Khan
Client: mother of 8 year old girl
Country: Saudi Arabia
Asalaam u alaikum
My 8 year old really enjoyed the classes. It was a gentle encouraging program with practical sentences used in daily lives which we rarely come across while reading. There was no comparison no pointing from the teacher and I tried to not do it either as to who is better or not. English being a second language us we definetly need help in speaking and pronunciation and the program offered it well.
My only suggestion would be to avoid using stories including magic as it is a major sin. And while learning to speak English we now have so many publishing houses doing a great job such as Kube publishing, Islamic Foundation, Goodwords and many more and authors such as Fawzia Gilani she did and islamic version of princess stories like Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. And author does poems her name is Razana Noor she is available on Amazon.com she wrote about the Kiraman Katibeen, also about the spider who made the web for the Prophet Muhammad’s s.a.w protection as well as the date stump that cried when His s.a.w ‘s pulpit was changed. The kids would love them and learn so much about the religion the vocabulary is great too. I do hope you will find something useful and get their permission to share in such small groups.
May Allah help you in making our Ummah stronger and successful in both worlds ameen.
