Why???
Why is this happening to your child???
Why is it so common among children???
Children of preteen ages, 8-12 years, often feel and complain about the pains in their legs. This pain is usually complained about in the evening or after school🏫, and is accompanied by restless and uneasy nights🛌.
These are the🛎️ “growing pains”, which happen in preteens and sometimes in toddlers even. They may be due to the growth spurt of this age, or this may be due the over activity of muscles after a PE period🏌️ in school, or after cycling 🚵or any other physical activity🏇. The child may seem fully recovered in the morning🌅 and no pain is present then. This pain can come and go on it’s own, the pain period may last from a month to years.
These pains are part of growing up. So, if your child is complaining of such pains,
💠don’t think he is making it up💫
💠check his routine, if it can be associated
with a specific activity🏋️🏃, reduce it
💠give massage to the legs for your child in
the evening
💠help him do some stretching exercises 🏃
💠use a warm water bottle to keep his legs
warm, at bed time🛌
💠increase vitamin D, either by sun☀️
exposure or by added vitamins(cod liver oil)
🐋for a couple of days in a week
💠try increasing his meat n fish consumption
🐑🐓🐋
💠painkillers 💊can be used once in while, but
are not recommended in children to be
used more often
WHEN YOU SHOULD GO TO A DOCTOR 🏥FOR THIS
🚨If it’s persistent
🚨Still present in the morning
🚨Severe enough to interfere with your
child’s normal activities
🚨Located in the joints
🚨Associated with an injury
🚨Accompanied by other signs or symptoms,
such as swelling, redness, tenderness,
fever, limping, rash, loss of appetite,
weakness or fatigue.
Hoping to be of help to worried moms😱
